Finding "Hard to Find" Camera Batteries

I thought I would have to replace a wonderful camera because no local camera shops could get me a battery!! No local battery shops could get it also!! I mention no names for social etiquette reasons. I have not received my order of batteries. I wanted them in time to record my new grandbaby, we are leaving Saturday. What can you do? We were looking for the batteries, and was wondering what happened. Is there a tracking number?
